'First Patrol' Contest (point prizes and more)

Hello! It's contest time in TheEliteOfTheClans!

As you may know, no one entered in the last contest so this is our first contest again!

It's changed up a little bit this time. This will be a two-part contest, part literary and part drawing.

This contest begins 12/16/12 and ends 1/16/13. Winners will be announced on 1/17/13. The second part of this contest begins on 1/18/13.

The theme is 'First Patrol'. For the first half, we want you to write a one-shot style story about your OC's first patrol as an apprentice!

Rules:
1) Must have an OC of any Clan (Fanclans included, though please link information with any backstory regarding the Fanclan). Canon cats welcome to accompany/mentor your OC, we even encourage it!

2) Traditional Warriors universe rules apply, so no superpowers, unnatural colors, ect.

3) Punctuation and grammar are important, please use proper spelling and grammar. This excludes 'txt lingo'.

4) Majority of the story should be in your OC's point of view. Having some of the p.o.v. of mentor/friend/enemy to help supplement the story is great too.

5) Any writing style is fine, whether it's in first person or third person, present or past-tense, ect.

6) No sexual themes. Romance is great, but keep it to where most audiences can enjoy the story, we want as many people to read it as possible Same for violence and gore. Of course there's bound to be some (this is the Warriors series after all!) but please try to not make it too extreme.

7) Feel free to enter up to 2 stories if you wish, but each contestant can only place once, this way it is fair for everyone

Remember to have fun with it! This is your OC's story, and the beginning of their legacy. Do warm breezes brush their pelt as they hunt in the underbrush, or is the grass beneath their paws stiff with frost in the dead of leaf-bare? What do they learn on their patrol? Is all well within their territory, or is there a problem? Perhaps they run into an enemy patrol or a cat that's a stranger all together. Maybe they find a clue to an even bigger problem that's on the horizon...
